Abstract
It is becoming increasingly relevant to analyze and understand effect of Packet Queue Scheduling algorithms in mix traffic scenario that exist in wireless networks nowadays. This paper presents simulation and evaluation of Random Early Detection with In and Out (RIO), Deficit Round Robin (DRR) and Worst case Fair Weighted Fair Queuing (WF2Q+) scheduling schemes and their comparative analysis under mix of Constant Bit Rate (CBR), video and data traffic. Simulation results are obtained using NS-2 simulator and performance of these three scheduling schemes in terms of throughput, delay and packet losses have been evaluated. It was observed from the results that DRR achieves highest throughput for all class of traffic. WF2Q+ achieves smallest delay and RIO exhibits smaller delay than DRR.
