Abstract

Measurements under varied conditions performed with a ho- modyne laser radar prototype for surface displacement monitoring are presented. They include constant and variable velocity measurements from both a disk and a belt target. In this manner, a methodology for estimating the probability of detection and the standard deviation of the complete system is proposed. © 2001 Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers.
