Abstract

This paper presents analysis of video compression based on block SVD Algorithm. Video compression is a process of efficiently coding digital video to reduce the number of bits required in representing video frames. Its purpose is to reduce the storage space and transmission cost while maintaining good quality. Current video compression standards like MPEG, H.26x series are highly computationally expensive and hence they are not suitable for real time applications. Current applications like video calling, video conferencing require low complexity video compression algorithms. The block SVD algorithms are used to provide higher PSNR at the same bit rate. Further we can analysis to reduce the time complexity of the video compression process based on block SVD Algorithm.
