Abstract

In this paper, the performance analysis of two different diversity models in indoor milli-meter wave communication in presented. Two diversity models considered here are Switch and Stay combining(SSC) diversity and Switch and Examine combining(SEC) diversity. Arbitrary number of received signals are examined and processed using the above mentioned diversity techniques. The L outputs of each combiner are fed as an input to an Equal Gain Combiner(EGC) separately. The statistics of both the system models such as signal to noise ratio(SNR) are derived individually. Using the obtained expressions of SNR the Average bit error rate(ABER) results are presented using the moment generating function followed by the Pade approximation method. The ABER results are plotted and comparison is made between the two diversity models. Numerical and simulation results are done.
