Abstract

In this paper, the performance of serial concatenated space-time code (SCSTC) in an OFDM system has been investigated over frequency-selective fading channel. Time variation of the channel leads to interchannel interference (ICI), which degrades the bit error rate (BER) performance of the system. The degradation depends on the maximum Doppler shift and flat fading channel, the performance with OFDM over frequency selective fading channel partly depends on the channel delay profile. It can be seen that the highest possible diversity gain is the product of the number of transmit antennas and the number of delay diversity order. Finally, simulation results have been evaluated for quasi-static frequency-selective fading channel.
