Abstract

This research paper examines the theoretical and experimental study of the solar system with marble pieces and sandstones. In order to carry out research above, three solar stills with a surface area of 1 meter square were made with fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) to minimize the loss of bottom and side heat. All solar panels are equipped with a glass cooling and dropping system to reduce top losses and maintain a constant water level. Of the three solar stills, the first and second solar were still tested with equal amounts of marble pieces and sandstones and the third were still considered to be used for comparison purposes alone. Experiments in the climate conditions of Mehsana were carried out during the month of May 2014 (23.5879607 ° N, 72.3693252 ° E). It was found that sandstones with cooling and dripping arrangements have had a remarkable effect to increase the solar distillate output. It is used not only to increase distillate output during hours of sunshine, but also off-sunshine. Theoretical results have also been validated and approved with experimental results.
