Abstract

In this paper, various shapes of microstrip patch antenna that means rectangular, circular, elliptical patch have been designed to investigate the performances of the different shapes of patch of microstrip antenna. These antennas are designed with coaxial probe feed. FR4_epoxy is utilized as the substrate material of these antennas whose relative permittivity is 4.4. The return loss, bandwidth, Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR), gain, directivity, efficiency all are simulated utilizing ansoft HFSS software that are worked in C-band application having resonant frequency at 5 GHz. A relative report has been made among the three patches to see the impact of different shapes of patch.
