Abstract

In recent days the Worldwide Interoperability of Microwave Access (Wimax) technology has become popular and receives acceptance as a broadband wireless access (BWA) system [5]. Wimax communication, which enables transmission of voice and data wireless in urban and highway environments [5]. In this study we considered, Wimax frequency 2.6 GHz and 3.5 GHz in urban and highway for RSS terrains [2]. RSS(Receiving Signal Strength) to measure the power between base station(BS) and mobile station(MS)[8]. RSS becomes efficient coverage, when base station proximity near to mobile station [8]. RSS deteriorates, when mobile station moves far from base station. Variation in signal strength from transmitter(Tx) and receiver antenna (Rx) would be considered as path loss [8]. In our work, the analysis is done using MAT Lab simulation software. With different path loss models, considering urban and highway terrains with RSS for given WiMax frequency in SIMO (Single Input Multiple Output) channel[5]. We have proposed ECC model is better since this model supports frequency greater than 3.0 GHz [2].
