Abstract

In recent years, there is a drastic development in the field of fifth generation technologies. The need for a network system with high reliability and diversity along with improvement in the efficiency of the spectrum has led to a new multiple access technique is called Pattern Division Multiple Access (PDMA) technique. In this paper, PDMA technique has been implemented in Successive Interference Cancellation (SIC) and Parallel Interference Cancellation (PIC) receivers. The performance of PDMA-PIC and PDMA-SIC has been analyzed. The simulation result shows, PDMA-PIC provides better performance than PDMA-SIC. It also proves that, this system provides improved gain, capacity and connectivity due to its nonorthogonal multiple access scheme.
