Abstract
Optical burst switching is an novel IP over WDM technique for full-optical switching networks. In this paper, the performances of FDL based optical buffer in an optical burst switching network core router are analyzed. Burst blocking probability, system passing rate, the average ports occupied rate and average queueing delay are evaluated and discussed.
