Abstract

In this paper, outage and the average Bit Error Rate (BER) performance of the Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) based full duplex Cognitive Radio (CR) relay network is analyzed in the presence of Narrowband Interference (NBI). Assume the NBI signal to be quasi-static over one OFDM signal. The full duplex relay employs Amplify and Forward (AF) relaying strategy to improve the output Signal to Interference plus Noise Ratio (SINR) at the destination node. Analytical expressions are derived for the outage probability and the end-to-end average BER of the full duplex AF relay network in the presence of NBI. The network performance is compared with half duplex mode.
