Abstract

In this paper, the multiwalled carbon nanotube loaded fluorine-doped tin oxide based optically transparent antenna is designed to resonate at 750 GHz. The fluorine-doped tin oxide thin film is used as antenna patch and a ground plane. The transparent MWCNT is used for shorting the microstrip line and ground plane. The suggested technique is applied to improve the impedance performance of the transparent patch antenna. The proposed structure of the antenna is transparent in the visible spectrum region. The impedance and radiation characteristics of the antenna are analyzed in the 711 – 796 GHz band. The antenna is simulated using finite element method based electromagnetic solver, Ansys - HFSS.
