Abstract

In a random access network, the number of nodes and the density of nodes significantly impact the network performance. In this paper, the network capacity is quantitatively analyzed to determine the optimal number of nodes for various multimedia application scenarios based on the random network deployment. We also introduce a random access network data forwarding strategy in detail. In addition, a comprehensive performance analysis is performed for different types of data forwarding schemes in random access networks.
