Abstract

In this paper, the effect of number of transmitter and receiver on the performance of proposed free space optical (FSO) communication system has been simulated and analyzed under different weather conditions such as clear, haze and fog. Transceivers are utilized to enhance the nature of FSO communication system. In this work, the Q-factor and bit error rate (BER) and eye diagram are investigated for single Tx / Rx FSO model under different weather conditions. The effect of outer parameters has been investigated for range of 4 km. The attenuation caused by weather conditions influences the FSO system and while designing a system the weather conditions has to be taken care of as to avoid the failure of the system. Comparatively the FSO system with clear weather conditions shows better results than dense weather conditions.
