Abstract

This article focuses on performance analysis of band pass filter in fractional order using generalized impedance converter and fractional order capacitor. The band pass filter is analyzed by considering resistor, a fractional order inductor with order lies between \( 0 < \alpha \le 2 \) and a fractional order capacitor with order lies between \( 0 < \beta \le 1 \).The realization of inductor with fractional order is achieved through generalized impedance converter circuit where fractional capacitor is employed as a element in it. Finally, investigation on performance analysis has been done in fractional band pass filter and differentiated with respect to conventional order band pass filter through MATLAB environment.
