Abstract

The authors study the performance of a frequency-hopped spread spectrum communication system using one hop per symbol and differential binary phase-shifted-keying modulation and differentially coherent demodulation. The effects of a hop-timing tracking loop are accounted for in the analysis. Results are presented for a channel which introduces additive white Gaussian noise, partial-band noise jamming, and phase distortion due to filtering. >
