Abstract

This paper constructs a covert transmission model under a cooperative cognitive radio (CR) system. The secondary transmitter (ST) acts as a cooperative relay to help the primary transmitter (PT) forward information within a specified period. In order to maximize personal benefits, the cooperative ST motivates to covertly communicate with the secondary receiver (SR). The primary transmitter (PT) monitors its covert communication behavior. Above all, the expected detection error probability of PT is deduced, and the maximum covert rate available to cooperative ST is given based on this. Simulation results show that the secondary network can achieve considerable concealment performance under the combined influence of channel uncertainty and noise uncertainty.
