Abstract

In this paper, we simulate a communication system model using Bessel beam- former, an adaptive beam-forming algorithm, and in a Rayleigh fading channel environment we analyse its performance employing digital modulation technique. Bessel beam-former is used in smart antennas to calculate weights adaptively in order to form beams towards desired users. Digital modulation technique is used for systems like CDMA (code division multiple access) for beam formation, bit error rate calculation, channel capacity, mean square error and power efficiency to study the effect of inter-symbol interference in terms of eye diagram for transmitted and received signals and array response gain, which provides improvement in system capacity and its efficiency.
