Abstract

Research in optical communications is always determined by fundamentals for high information rates and enhanced spectral efficiency. Also, the development of highrequest modulation formats is included a higher bit rates per channel, which requirement expanded signal-to-noise ratio considerably and high power per channel. Then again, higher spectral efficiency also needs closely spaced channels to enhance the active data transfer bandwidth of optical amplifiers, return-to-zero (RZ) and Non-return-to-zero (NRZ) are two essential information designs in communication systems. The analyzed of the execution of NRZ versus RZ in optical code-division multiple access (OCDMA) networks is done in this project, 2-Dimension Modified double weight (MDW) codes are utilized as the specific codes for OCDMA systems. This investigation have been helped out through signature codes for OCDMA network by using OptiSystem software V.ll. This work improved that applying NRZ pulse generator yields has a better performance of biterror-rate (BER) than using RZ data format for all simulations. Be that as it may, NRZ can achieve a received power −18 dBm unlike RZ at data bit rate 622 Mbps for the same transmission distance.
