Abstract

This paper compares the best suited algorithm to optimize the precoder weight vector for the hybrid beamforming in 5G MIMO wireless communication system. Analysis performs for the different antenna array of the size 16x16, 8x8, 4x4, 2x2 with the mmWave operating frequency 28 GHz. Our intrigued of investigation and performance metric are spectral efficiency and bit error rate. In this paper we show, manifold optimization (MO) algorithm outperforms as compare the Orthogonal matching pursuit (OMP) algorithm and optimize the precoder close to the accurate digital beamforming precoder. Further the size of antenna array and length of data stream, improve the spectral efficiency and bit error rate by great extent. MATLAB simulation result of bit error rate of wireless communication is reduced with the size of antenna array. We demonstrated our result for larger size of antenna array. The beam is more concentrated and steered in desired direction as well as the side levels is reduced in the other direction.
