Abstract

Generalized multiprotocol label switching (GMPLS) optical network separates the control plane from the forwarding plane and promises a unified control plane for a variety of switching technologies. We have proposed the performance analysis and modelling of GMPLS optical networks with the multiservice queueing model. In order to analyze the blocking probability, average throughput and average utilization of the multiservive GMPLS network based on queuing theory. To verify the accuracy of the implemented multiservice queueing model, we performed analytical results and simulations. Finally, we compared the performance of the blocking probability, average throughput and average utilization.
