Abstract
In this video, we present briefly the percutaneous creation of an arteriovenous fistula with the Ellipsys Vascular Access System under ultrasound guidance. The device allows the creation of a permanent anastomosis between the proximal radial artery and the deep communicating vein of the elbow that is immediately dilated with a 5-× 20-mm balloon in order to accelerate maturation. The video was created specifically for VAM 2020 and includes the most recent updates of the technique.
