10 At first sight the decision to close an old village primary school and transport the pupils a few miles by bus to a larger modernized school may not seem one of any great moment. Yet anyone with a knowledge of the recent history of primary school re-organization in rural Wales will understand that the decision is not merely about where a score or so children will receive their education but has wider implications for the future of the whole rural community.
