Abstract

Objectives: To explore the perception of telenursing among patients with chronic diseases in the selected community hospitals only in Shandong Province, China, and to compare the differences in perception of telenursing among patients with different chronic diseases. Methods: The purpose sampling method was adopted in this study, and questionnaires were distributed to 324 chronic disease patients in OPD hospitals. Results: Patients with chronic diseases have higher awareness and acceptance of telenursing, and there are significant differences in their cognition of telenursing needs. Conclusion: The disease characteristics of patients with different chronic diseases and their different needs for telenursing require more considerations in the design and use of telenursing services.
