Abstract

The modern linguistic situation in Kazakhstan is considered in the context of the cultural integration of ethnic groups. An analysis of the language situation using the formula “Exit, Voice, Loyalty” (according to Hirshman A.O.) shows that, in general, the integration of Russian Kazakhstanis can be defined as “loyalty”, however, their linguistic behavior does not always coincide with the loyalty formula. The conclusions are obtained on the basis of analysis of empirical data.
