Abstract

It is important to assess the employment perceptions of students from the Vocational School of Health Services to solve the problems observed in the labor market after graduation. In this context, this research aimed to determine the impact of students' perspectives on the profession, sector expectations, and career plans on their employment perceptions. The research utilized the "Attitudes and Thoughts of Vocational School of Health Services Students about Employment Status Scale" as the data collection tool. The study was conducted through an online survey method on students currently enrolled in the Medical Laboratory Techniques, Medical Documentation and Secretarial Services, Medical Imaging Techniques, and First Aid and Emergency Care Programs at Karadeniz Technical University Vocational School of Health Services. Student's t-test and ANOVA test were utilized for comparing groups. As a result of the study, it was determined that demographic variables such as class, age, and the program that students are enrolled in significantly influenced their career expectations, perspectives on the profession, sector expectations, and career plans.
