Abstract

Aim : The main purpose of the study was to assess the perception and experience of teachers and postgraduate nursing students on microteaching at selected College of nursing, India. Methods : Descriptive survey and interview method was used for the study. A five point likert scale was used to assess the perception of lecturers and students on microteaching. Experiences of teachers were assessed using interview method. The study was conducted by obtaining prior permission from Head of the institution, concerned teachers and postgraduate nursing students. Findings : the results of the study indicate that teachers and postgraduate nursing students had a positive perception about microteaching as an effective teaching strategy. Participants also brought out suggestions to improve the present practice.
