Abstract

This study aims to identify the impediments that limit female teachers, so that they can enter universities in equal opportunities as their male colleagues; problematic that is reflected day by day in the classrooms of the houses of higher studies. With this article, the results of this study, related to the perception of female university teachers, are revealed through the analysis of four areas related to their teaching exercise: reconciling family life, personal satisfaction in the teaching exercise, perception in the dynamics of gender relations in the university work environment and the motivation to access positions of power in universities.
