Abstract

Delay differential equations are a differential equation where the state variable appears with delayed argument. Delay differential equations have received increasing during recent year since these equations have been proved to be valuable tools in the modelling of many phenomena in various fields of science and engineering. Some method have been succeeded in solving delay differential equations such as Lapace Variational Iteration Method and Sumudu Variational Iteration Method. Lapace Variational Iteration Method is a combination of Laplace transform and Variational Iteration Method and also Sumudu Variational Iteration Method is a combination of Sumudu transform and Variational Iteration Method. The author will use both of these methods in solving delay differential equations and the author will compare the approach solution with the exact solution using Mean Absolute Percentage Error in order to know which methods are better in solving delay differential equations.
