Abstract
The background of this research is in Pondok Pesantren Tahfidzul Qur'an Al Ikhlas Sukoharjo Regency. The process of memorizing the Qur'an is a relatively very difficult activity, compared to reading and understanding it. At Pondok Pesantren Tahfidzul Qur'an Al Ikhlas, the motivation of students in memorizing the Qur'an is still weak. Providing motivation is very necessary for memorizing the Qur'an to increase enthusiasm. In this regard, the ustadzah acts as a guide and motivator for students. Optimizing the role of ustadzah is very important. The problem is how the role of ustadzah is in increasing the intrinsic and extrinsic motivation of students in memorizing the Qur'an. And what are the inhibiting factors for students in memorizing the Qur'an? This research aims to describe the role of ustadzah in increasing the intrinsic and extrinsic motivation of female santri's memorization of the Qur'an at Pondok Pesantren Tahfidzul Qur'an Al Ikhlas, as well as the inhibiting factors of female santri in memorizing the Qur'an. This research is descriptive qualitative research, taking the location at the Al Ikhlas Qur'an Tahfidzul Islamic Boarding School in Sukoharjo Regency as the object of research. The research was taken using observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The analysis is done by giving meaning to the data collected. The results of this study show the role of ustadzah in increasing the intrinsic motivation of memorizing Al Qur'an students, namely that the motivation already exists within the students which will make it easier to achieve the desired goals. Which is instilled by getting closer to the Creator Allah SWT. The efforts made by the ustadzah by inviting students to pray 5 times and tahajud prayers together. And the role of the ustadzah in increasing extrinsic motivation is by solving the problems of students in memorizing the Qur'an, giving rewards in the form of grades and mushaf, giving punishment for students who do not reach the memorization target, and providing guidance methods in the process of memorizing the Qur'an. And the inhibiting factors of students in memorizing the Qur'an are lack of straightening their intentions and goals, lack of patience and despair in memorizing the Qur'an, lack of room or inadequate place so that activities run less effectively and parents who play a less role in the process of memorizing the Qur'an so that they lag when returning to the boarding school.
