Abstract

This study investigates the role and impact of extension media on wet-rice farmers in Abadi Jaya Village, Maginti Sub-district, West Muna Regency. The research is qualitative and therefore uses the term 'informants' instead of 'population' or 'sample'. The informants in this study are individuals who work as wet-rice farmers in Abadi Jaya Village. The sample size was determined using the snowball sampling technique, with a total of 5 informants. The research data was collected using survey, observation, and interview methods with an interview guide as the instrument. The data analysis consisted of three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The extension media used to disseminate information to wet-rice farmers in Abadi Jaya Village, Maginti Subdistrict is a type of leaflet print media. The function of extension media in enhancing the capacity of wet-rice farmers is to disseminate information related to solutions to farming problems. This information is conveyed to farmers through various mediums. The capacity of farmers in paddy rice farming has increased, as evidenced by their improved knowledge, attitudes, and skills.
