Abstract
Per-oral endoscopic myotomy (POEM) has recently gained popularity for the endoscopic treatment of achalasia. We extend the application of this technique by demonstrating a novel dual-endoscope approach for therapy of complete esophageal obstruction: per-oral endoscopic tunneling for restoration of the esophagus (POETRE). Dual-endoscope simultaneous endoscopy (1 endoscope via the mouth and another simultaneously inserted retrograde through the G-tube tract) was performed for the treatment of peptic/radiation esophageal stricture with complete obstruction.
