Abstract
The legal basis for the simultaneous local elections in 2015 is Law No. 8 of 2015 concerning Amendments to Law Number 1 of 2015 concerning the Establishment of Government Regulations in lieu of Law Number 1 of 2014 concerning the Election of Governors, Regents and Mayors into Laws. Concerning the Election of Governors, Regents , and Mayor. Simultaneous local elections in 2015 there were 278 regions consisting of 269 districts / cities and 9 provinces in Indonesia for their implementation. It turned out that for its implementation which was planned simultaneously nationally on December 9, 2015, it was postponed for 5 regions in Indonesia, which included one of the regions was Pematangsiantar City. This is due to interlocutory decisions issued by PTUN and PT.TUN in each region, and including for pematangsiantar city. In its implementation the Pematangsiantar City KPU has carried out its duties in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations. Practically, the results of this study are expected to provide meaningful input for the provincial Bawaslu and district / city Panwaslih in deciding cases related to election administration and disputes.
