Pentecostal-Protestant Dialogue in the Netherlands

Abstract

Since 2008 Dutch Pentecostals have been engaged in an official dialogue with the Protestant Church. The dialogue is in the final phase of writing a concluding report that will be presented to the participating churches next year. The delegates selected four themes that were regarded as controversial for discussion during the sessions: Water Baptism (2010), Spirit Baptism (1911), Office (2012), Spirit and Tradition (2013). This paper gives the background of the dialogue, explains its methodology and proceedings and then discusses some of the preliminary findings of the draft report.
