Abstract
The title compound, [Mn(C18H15Si)(CO)5], crystallizes in the space group P\overline{1} with two molecules in the asymmetric unit. It is a strong covalent `bimetallic' complex with partial multiple-bond character in the `metal–metal' bond as evidenced by the short (average) Mn—Si distance of 2.504 (6) A.
