The paper does present, however, a usefu sumar.y and comparison of the major recommendations of four recent pension commissions by a widely recognized pension authority and member of two of these commissions.) **Dr. William C. Greenough is the retired Chairman of the Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association and the College Retirement Equities Fund. He was a member of the President's Commission on Pension Policy and served as Chairman of the Committee for Economic Development's Subcommittee on Retirement Policy.
