Abstract

This research is motivated by the results of observations made in class II SDN Kepuh I, Kediri Regency. It was found that the learning outcomes of students on the material of the application of Pancasila values were not maximized. This is because the teacher has not found a learning model that can help students understand the material of Pancasila values. This study aims to improve student learning outcomes through the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model. This Classroom Action Research (PTK) model uses the Kemmis and Mc. Taggart model which has 3 stages, namely the planning stage, the stage of action implementation and observation, and the reflection stage, with its implementation using two cycles. The results of the research in cycle I obtained classical achievement of student learning outcomes with a percentage of 35% whose average score was 60, while in cycle II showed that the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model obtained classical achievement of learning outcomes with a percentage of 85% whose average score was 80. Thus, it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model is able to improve the learning outcomes of grade II students in Pancasila Education or PPKn subjects on the material of the application of Pancasila values.
