Abstract
Amantadine induces repeated episodes of penile erection and ejaculation in intact but not in castrated adult male rats. Testosterone propionate administered to castrated rats restores their responsiveness to the sexual stimulant effect of amantadine. Atropine, but not atropine methyl bromide, prevents amantadine induced penile erection.
