Stokes et al.1reported in 1944 that improvement in lightning pains following treatment with penicillin occurred in four of seven patients with this symptom. Subsequently Gammon et al.2reporting on a larger series, found that 66 per cent of tabetic patients with abnormal spinal fluids showed improvement in spinal fluid following penicillin...Bibliography1.
