Abstract

Aceh province has implemented Islamic law for several years, therefore in its regulation, alled qanun, it is mentioned that every educational system should be based on Islamic values. Consequently, every teacher preparation program should be able to produce teachers who can integrate Islamic values in their teaching. To know the readiness of teacher candidates of English education to integrate Islamic values in their teaching practice, an investigation was microteaching classe. The problem of the research was,”how is the integration of islamic values in english teaching simulation at microteaching class of english education department of UIN AR-Raniry?” This study was an empirical study (field research) in the form of descriptive method. The data were analyzed by using descriptive analysis method. The subjects of this research were 17 microteaching students of English education department in academic year 2014/2015. The data were gathered by using observation technique. The results showed that in doing the simulation of English teaching at microteaching class, the students of English education department is lack of competence in integrating the Islamic values into the English teaching learning process. It was showed by there were 6 out of 17 students (teacher candidates) or around 35. 2 % have integrated Islamic values in their teaching materials. The rests were only integrated it in the opening and closing activity by saying Salam (Islamic greeting) and make doa (prayer).
