Abstract

Mathematics for elementary school participants is a scary subject, it is embedded in the mindset of students. Especially when students encounter story problems (literacy) they feel confused and difficult. We as teachers must be able to change this mindset because basically mathematics is a subject related to analytical, logical and creative thinking. In addition, the lack of learning media can make students difficult and confused. This study aims to increase students' understanding of math story problems through the use of interactive learning media images and videos. The research method used is Collaborative Classroom Action Research (CAR). The research subjects were class III participants at SDN Simbatan 1 in 2022/2023, totaling 25 students. The learning outcomes obtained from observing the value of learning outcomes in cycle I are 68,88% to 79,2% in cycle II. The conclusion that can be drawn is that using interactive learning media images and videos increases students' understanding of math story problems with an increase in learning outcomes.
