Abstract

The umbilicus is the connective rope that extends from it to the surface of the fetal placenta. The umbilical funiculus is stretched from the surface of the fetal placenta until the umbilicus area fetus and continues as fetus skin. In working system the umbilical cord serves as a liaison between the placenta and the fetus for intake of oxygen, food and antibody of the mother. In newborns, the umbilical cord is the most vulnerable area for bacterial development, which can sometimes cause neonatal infections. Inadequate central strap maintenance can cause infections. The methods of treatment used are very varied, new changes in the practice of development according to the results of the research based on the literature by using topical methods of breast milk, because it is ready, no cost and Will accelerate the central strap release time. The type of research used is quantitative using correlational method. The population in this research is the teenage mothers who have newborn babies. Sampling in this study used accidental sampling technique as many as 30 mothers.
