Abstract

PT. XYZ is a company engaged in the production of four-wheeled vehicles by implementing quality control in the production process, especially in the Assembly Process. The quality control process includes controlling the quality of raw materials from vendors, equipment and production machinery, production processes and finished products. The quality department carried out the Demerit Meeting Assembly to discuss the defects that occurred and discuss solutions for each cause of disability. Although it has a special section that handles quality problems, but PT. XYZ still has deficiencies in meeting the quality standards that have been established with the presence of defective products in the production process. Most product defects are in the Y9J (FD) or Carry Truck models. There are 16 types of disabilities in the Y9J (FD) model car production process. So, the Y9J (FD) product quality control analysis is carried out using the Seven Tools method. Based on the analysis with the Seven Tools method the most types of defects are parts that are not installed, dol / slek, scratch, function not good, and brakes are blank. Factors that cause disability include the design of tools that are less ergonomic, dirty tools, operator movements at work, inspection of breakouts of each process, raw materials from unsuitable suppliers and body defects from previous processes.
