The Test of Arabic as a Foreign Language (TOAFL) was carried out as a standardized assessment of Arabic related to listening ability, ability to understand structure and Arabic idiomatic structure, as well as ability to understand Arabic vocabulary, reading and grammar. The teaching needs of TOAFL in Madrasah Aliyah are increasing along with the increasing interest of Madrasah Aliyah students to continue their studies to the Middle East. TOAFL learning techniques still need to be developed continuously to be more effective and efficient by adopting behavioristic theory, cognitive learning theory, social learning theory, humanism learning theory. And by utilizing the principles and techniques of several foreign language learning methods that have been developed for a long time such as; grammar and translation method, directed method, reading method, audio-lingual method, and election method. Theories and methods are adjusted to the abilities or needs of students and supported by technology or multimedia.
