Abstract

The era of disruption caused the methods and approaches to teaching Christian Religious Education students to be different. Special soft skills are needed so students can accept God's Word's message. However, some soft skills possessed by teachers are contrary to the truth of God's Word. Therefore, it is necessary to revitalize the soft skills of Christian Religious Education teachers that are relevant to students' thinking in the era of disruption but still based on the Word of God. This study aims to explain the soft skills of Christian religion teachers in carrying out their vocation as educators. The main reason is that changing times require educators with good soft skills. However, the problem is that Christian religion teachers still need to understand these skills based on the message of 2 Timothy 4:5. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a hermeneutic approach. The study results show that 2 Timothy 4:5 clearly explains soft skills and is very relevant for teachers in education. Christian religious teachers must use these soft skills to adapt to changing times. Soft skills improvement, which includes interpersonal and intrapersonal skills, must be continuously developed.
