Abstract
This research aim to develop a guided discovery learning based chemical bonding module for grade X SMA and determine the level of validity and practicality. The type of this research was Research and Development using Plomp model. Plomp model consist of three stages, 1) preliminary research; 2) prototyping stage and 3) assessment stage. The validity test of this module was done by two chemistry lecturers at FMIPA UNP, two chemistry teachers at SMAN 3 Padang Panjang and a chemistry teacher at SMAN 4 Pariaman. Practicality test was done by two chemistry teachers at SMAN 3 Padang Panjang and 27 students XI MIPA 1 of SMAN 3 Padang Panjang using. Validty instrument and practical questionnaires was analized by Cohen Kappa (k) Formula. The results of the analysis of the validity with an avarage score of the kappa moment 0,91 which is very high category of validity. The results of practicality by teacher and students show that the average score in a row is 0,95 and 0,87 which is very high practicality category. Summary
Dari hasil analisis kebutuhan diperoleh bahwa peserta didik mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami konsep pada materi ikatan kimia [14]. 2019 Volume 1 Issue 1 didik pada materi ikatan kimia hanya sebesar 43% sedangkan peserta didik yang lainnya masih belum memahami konsep [15]. Peserta didik sulit membedakan antara satu konsep dengan konsep yang lainnya seperti pada topik materi ikatan ion, ikatan kovalen dan ikatan koordinasi [16]. Guru mengalami kesulitan dalam menerapkan model discovery learning dikarenakan kurangnya bahan ajar yang tersedia, bahan ajar yang digunakan adalah buku paket. Perlu adanya modul untuk membantu guru dalam menerapkan model pembelajaran. Dari hasil analisis kurikulum 2013 revisi 2017 terhadap KD 3.5 dan 4.5 dirumuskan IPK dan tujuan pembelajaran untuk materi ikatan kimia. 3.5 Membandingkan ikatan ion, ikatan kovalen, ikatan kovalen koordinasi dan ikatan logam serta kaitannya dengan sifat zat Indikator Pencapaian Kompetensi (Pengetahuan)
