Abstract

Cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) is a type of fruit vegetable that is in great demand by the public because it is a source of vitamins, nutrients and minerals that the body needs and has various health benefits, especially in terms of lowering blood pressure. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of the interaction between pruning time and the concentration of ZPT (Growth Regulatory Substances) of Aloe Vera on cucumber seed production. This research was conducted from December 2022 to February 2023 which took place in the paddy fields of Jl. Baturraden I, Sumbersari, Jember. This research was conducted from December 2022 to February 2023. The experimental design used was a randomized block design (RBD) with two treatments. factors, each repeated 3 times. The first factor is the pruning time which consists of 3 levels, namely P1 (20 HST), P2 (25 HST), P3 (30 HST). The second factor of ZPT Aloe vera consisted of 3 levels namely A1 (0%), A2 (20%), A3 (30%). Observational data were analyzed statistically using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), if the results showed a significantly different effect then it was continued with the Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at 5% level. The results showed that the concentration of ZPT Aloe Vera treatment had a significantly different effect on the parameter of fruit weight per plant. Pruning time treatment had a significantly different effect on the parameters of fruit diameter and seed production per hectare.
