Abstract

The availability of technology in the form of social networks and tools for knowledge sources is one of the investments funded by higher education. However, can its availability increase absorptive learning capability, so students have innovation capability? This research is designed by surveying students in project-based courses that require innovative ideas. This study's findings indicate that social network use affects innovation capability but does not generate absorptive learning capability. Other results also show that tools for knowledge sources have no effect on innovation or absorptive learning capability. This research contributes to a better understanding of how the adaptation of social networks and knowledge resource tools in higher education can be adapted and encouraged by students to increase their power of innovation.
