Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the physics learning process in schools using the google classroom application during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research was conducted at SMAN 26 Jakarta in 2020. The type of research used was qualitative with a descriptive method. The sample in this study was 66 students of class XI and 72 students of class XII. The research sample was taken using stratified random sampling. The instrument used was a questionnaire using the Google form in the form of 27 item statements and interview sheets. The effectiveness indicators used are 1) accuracy in using the application, 2) speed of performance, 3) transfer rate from offline to online and 4) student retention rate. The results showed that there was an effect of using google classroom on the effectiveness of learning physics with a percentage of 78.99%, which means it was effectively used by teachers and students. For each indicator of the effectiveness of the using accuracy indicator with an average percentage of 76% in the high category. Performance speed indicators with an average of 69% in the high category, transfer speed of learning with an average of 59% in the medium category, and an average retention rate of 66% in the high category.
