Abstract
Parental interaction and communication with children and how parents treat their teenage children have an influence on the attitude of adolescents which, if sustained, will develop into characters that are formed in children. Likewise, teenagers with the use of internet technology, the attitude of parents towards the activities of these teenagers will have an influence on the formation of characters that can filter the impact of internet technology so that teenagers do not fall into addiction which will make their positive character decline. The interaction between parents and children in dealing with the impact of technology is a powerful medium for education for children, and should be a top priority. But what happened was just the opposite. The media tends to reduce moral values, such as violence and pornography. Families are expected to be able to fortify their sons and daughters, therefore families must be smart in interacting with the media. The aim is to prevent deviant behavior that is not in accordance with moral norms and moral values in children. The research method uses a literature study approach, by reviewing a number of 26 journals related to research variables. As a result, the process of interaction between parents and children to support physical, emotional, social, intellectual and spiritual development takes place from a child in the womb to adulthood. In conclusion, children need to be protected from a family with positive, good and true things so that they can develop well in the next life and be able to control themselves in dealing with the destructive influences of the digital era. The family as one of the tricenters of education is the first and foremost place of education for the formation of children's character.
